Canadian Foundation for Financial Planning

A foundation to improve access to financial planning 

The Institute and its partner, FP Canada, are founding members of the Canadian Foundation for Financial Planning^TM. This is an independent charitable organization launched in 2024 dedicated to promoting financial resilience and improving access to professional financial planning advice.

The Foundation focuses its efforts on vulnerable groups such as:

• Low-income earners
• Young people
• Aboriginal peoples
• Newcomers to Canada
• Seniors
• And people with disabilities

Foundation programs

With the support of volunteer financial planners, the Foundation will offer several initiatives to support these populations, including:

• Free financial planning seminars and webinars, organized in collaboration with community organizations.
• A pro bono program connecting eligible individuals with financial planning professionals.
• Online tools and resources to promote financial independence.
