The Simplified path for CFP holders is a customized path for CFP holders wishing to adapt to the specificities of financial planning in Quebec and obtain the title of F.Pl. It is currently offered in French only, but will soon be available in English.
A path specially designed for CFPs
The Institute of Financial Planning is now offering a certification path specifically designed for CFP (Certified Financial Planner) holders wishing to obtain the title of financial planner (F.Pl.). This program is designed to simplify the transition by recognizing the skills and knowledge already acquired, while offering targeted training on the differences specific to the Quebec financial planning context.
The new certification pathway has been created to:
Recognize the prior training of individuals holding the CFP designation, which shares many similarities with the F.Pl. designation
Provide accelerated training in the specific aspects of financial planning in Quebec, including the legal and estate planning aspects
