Description

Leaving a job to change career direction has major repercussions, both in human and financial terms. The couple is left with only one income to meet their needs. What assistance programs are available? What are the tax implications? What are the vulnerabilities in the event of unforeseen circumstances? This training course provides a better understanding of these issues, and presents different avenues for effectively supporting your customers through this transition.

This training offered both in French and English includes one hour of preparatory work and 4 hours of asynchronous training.

  • Recognize the difficulties surrounding the segregation of finances between spouses in a long-term relationship.
  • Understand certain limits to the health-related risks that can be effectively transferred to an insurer.
  • Understand the evolution of disability insurance underwriting, including telecommuting and cannabis.
  • Take into account the limitations of various long-term financial projection models when analyzing the Retirement Situation.
  • Take opportunity cost into account when assessing life insurance needs.
  • In behavioral finance, learn about the empathy deficit and its effects on financial planning.
